Children need more than luck. They need encouragement, love, shelter and hope. At Christ’s Haven, our purpose is to provide a safe, loving place for children to call home. And giving them the tools and skills they need to improve their lives is a bonus. Our latest tool is horsemanship. The unique combination of the horse, the horse’s movement and a non-clinical environment involves all systems of the body. So along with the physical development, horsemanship also affects psychological, cognitive, social, behavioral and communication skills. Christ’s Haven has been given a unique opportunity to share this program with our community. So saddle up, bring the kids, and visit our facilities and this program. When it comes to the life of a child, hope is so much more powerful than luck.
